Leavenworth really loves its festivals, large and small. Dates are for the current year unless the festival has completed and dates for next year have been not announced.

Bavarian Ice Festival – January 13-14, 2018



Front Street at Night

Enjoy a weekend of outdoor activities for everyone including Leavenworth’s famous Smooshing contest, the Ice Cube Scramble for kids 6 and under, the Bavarian Mug Relay, Snow Sculptures, Dog Sled Pulling Competition, and fireworks on Sunday evening.

Taste LeavenworthApril 7 – 8, 2018

2018 is the eighth Taste Leavenworth Pear Festival in Leavenworth.

Leavenworth is the pear capital of the country and we are here to shout it from our mountain tops! This area is the largest exporter of organic pears, and second in all pear exports, so we’ve name April, our month of Spring Sensations. Tantalize all your senses with a month filled with tastes, sounds and outdoor fun!

Leavenworth Film Festival April 13-14, 2018

Showcasing the best recent short films with a focus on outdoor pursuits and the natural world. Come see these great films and intermission performances while enjoying your beverage of choice.

Spring SensationsMonth of April, 2018

Throughout the month of April, restaurants, shops, wineries and B&B’s are highlighting their pear prowess with specialty pear dishes created just for you. Follow the pear map (available shortly before the festival) to see what is available. And Taste Leavenworth! on April 2 – 3 is a culinary through town. Buy a passport for coupons redeemable throughout town.

Leavenworth Ale-Fest April 20-21, 2018

This is a benefit for the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum. Delicious food and popular northwest bands. Beer tasting with the brews of 20 micro breweries.

Art In The ParkMay 5 – October 2017 (2018 dates not yet announced)

This show is considered the longest continually-run outdoor art show in the Northwest area. This event is organized by Village Art in the Park, a non-profit arts association in Leavenworth.

Celebrate Fruhling (Spring) in our traditional Bavarian fashion. Experience the Grand March, including village folk and visitor alike dressed in Trachten and traditional fare. Enjoy flowers, weekend entertainment, and dancing.

Leavenworth Spring Bird FestMay 17-20, 2018

Come bird with us and discover the natural beauty of North Central Washington state. Hear songs sung only during the breeding season while you stroll, bike, boat, or van during the height of wildflower season. While birding is the heart of the weekend, activities also include wildflower walks, arts events, and family activities to ensure fun and learning for everyone, and for birders of all skill levels.

A town Festival that celebrates children and their families. Fun for everyone, but especially the youngest of our population. Face painting, bird feeder crafts, free snacks, games, and balloons! Our mix of hands-on crafting and professional entertainment provides for a wonderful day in the sun. Celebrate our country’s independence with wholesome entertainment and smiles that dim even the brightest of sparklers.

Wenatchee River Salmon FestivalSeptember 20 – 22, 2018

Indian dancers and storytellers. Outdoor sports, discovery hunt, endangered species exhibit, art & craft fair. See fish up close. Hatchery tour. Salmon Run – 10K run, 5K walk, small fry race.

Washington State Autumn Leaf FestivalSeptember 29 – 30, 2018

The Autumn Leaf Festival is Leavenworth’s longest running festival. Come play at Leavenworth’s oldest festival! A parade with over 80 floats, entertainment throughout, and fun for the whole family. Clowns, parades, yodelers, bands, singers and dancers.

OktoberfestOctober 5 – 6, 12 – 13, 19 – 20, 2018

Live music, German food, arts and crafts, Bavarian clothing sale, and activities for the whole family. Oktoberfest in Leavenworth is the next best thing to being in Munich! Our own Musikkapelle Leavenworth will be joined by other musical groups from the US and Germany.

Keg Tapping Ceremony 1:00pm every Saturday.

Hugging the Coast has named Leavenworth’s Oktoberfest as #1 in its Top 10 Places to Celebrate Oktoberfest in the US.
